It's not so much that BS that there no difference between the parties, clearly there is, to say the least.

It's the growing impression that all the Elites in the National Government of America are just trying to hold the whole ball of wax together until after they are dead. It's a race for them, and while the Bushies strike out for Smiley Faced Fascism, I am beginning to think that the Dems are retreating purposefully because they don't like their base any more than the Republics like it.

Thus, they fear the Will of the American People almost as much as the Bushies, and maybe THAT is why they are behaving so crazily spinelessly, as if they WANT to lose in 2008.

8. Today's presser is a distraction from the torture questions at the AG hearing.
Bush called this press conference just to draw attention from the Senate Judiciary hearing of his own nominee!

10. The media seemed a little up today
He goes on and on about Congress like a crying baby because Congress isn’t doing the things he wants. Then a long explanation of the Armenian bill and how it will effect relations with Turkey. Then right off the bat two questions that make him look hypocritical and/or stupid. Turkey should try other means rather than mass invasion of northern Iraq to deal with it’s terrorist problem. OK, so why are WE doing mass invasion of Iraq then? Then answering the Dali Lama question and it’s implications with China. Showing that he thinks HE has the right to piss on other countries feelings, but when Congress does it, it’s wrong. Err so basically 2 questions in and he’s basically erased everything he speechified. Good job Mr. President.

11. "we are finding common ground on Iraq"
he basically just bragged that he has been getting his way on Iraq since the last election cycle. Actually he has gotten a few billion more than he asked for. So much for the opposition party.
