Pelosi: ‘Hate radio’ made a ‘vicious attack’ on Frost.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who coined the label “hate radio” to refer to the virulent commentary on right-wing radio, again reiterated her point today in the context of the right-wing smears against Graeme Frost:

Hate radio has made a vicious attack on the Frost family, a family that was involved in a very serious automobile accident injuring two of its children who are SCHIP recipients. … Again, beneath the dignity of the debate but of course I would fight to the death for their right to say whatever they say in our great country.

Hmm...has Nancy forgotten that the House under he Leadership voted to censure "Move On.org" for an ad trying to expose a General's Propaganda for Bush? :wow:

1. There's a difference between censureship and censorship.
Obviously she cares about policing the left because she's associated with them, and not with the right because.. she's not. Bleh.

3. Hoisted on her lame canard...
I know we're all supposed to spout "I'd fight to the death for your right to say ______" whenever there is a free speech issue, but honestly, there are times to refrain from that refrain.

No one would say "I don't agree with your advocation of man/child sex, but I'd fight to the death for your right to advocate it".

These attacks on the Frost family are about in the same catagory. And then yeah, there's that MoveOn.org vote hypocrisy.

to be voted on and she used it in her statement....

11. Censure is not the same as banning
It was supremely inane that they would consider that bogus resolution, but it's just a formal way of officially disagreeing, not an edict that "neither you nor anybody else shall ever voice these sentiments again".

14. Well then, why not Censure Rush Limbaugh as many were urging?
 Instead "Move On" is censured but not the perpetrator of her outrage in her statement in the OP.

15. Go ahead
I think it's equally inane but I won't stop them. If seventy Senators want to go ahead and say "fie on you" to somebody, that's their business. I continue to believe what I believe regardless. If anything, MoveOn should be thanking those who voted for the resolution because it helped them raise a great deal of money.

16. That's very cynical.... Do you not see hypocracy here? Should we Care?
Many think we SHOULD CARE that Limbaugh and his ilk NEVER are Censured...but the first Censure the Democratic House and Senate Take is to Censure Move On.org?

Does that not send a chill through your bones that Dems Censure the very people fighting for them but equivocate on Limbaugh? My "Hypocracy Meter" went off the RED ZONE..on that one!

18. Censure an Honorary Member of the House?
He is, you know. Limbaugh, that is. Illustrates the yawning chasm between how our side treats its partisans and the Repubs treat theirs.

7. Nancy, nancy when you loose the house
one of the reasons will be that hate radio

I hate to say it, but she has NO CLUE and she's proving it day, after day, after day

What we need is a breakup of all of these monopololies into small, itty bitty parts

That would be a start

Let the market truly run this Nancy... not the monopolies who have a stake in sliming you.

21. Right on, Nancy!
Hate radio must be attacked at every chance. Too bad when Nancy does something great so many have to dismiss it with complaints about what Nancy did on other occasions. Nothing is good for some because its never good enough.
