Extremist Anti-Science Candidate Huckabee is crazy even by the standards of many Republicans
Republican presidential candidates Mike Huckabee, Sam Brownback, and Tom Tancredo raised their hands ... when asked if they don't believe in evolution:
Huckabee, in a conference call with reporters the morning after the debate, explained how he would have responded if given a chance to elaborate on the question: "If you want to believe that you and your family came from apes, that's fine. I'll accept that," he said Friday. "I just don't happen to think that I did."

As for what should be taught in public schools, Huckabee said he wants "schools to acknowledge that there are views that are different than evolution."

Here's a great fact from a poll by the Pew Center for People and the Press:

"Roughly one-in-four Republicans (26%) believes conservative Christians have gone to far in trying to impose their religious values on the country."

Here are some cool charts from the Pew poll report:

6. I fear that Romney is going to need to pick this numbskull as his VP to balance the Mormonism issue
and the abortion rights flip flops.

3. insanity
this is ridiculous..... i can now fully say that i am shocked by the pure inanity of some people. these are college graduates in some cases. people actually support teaching creationism over evolution?? i will fully admit my atheist beliefs, but have they even read the bible?? there are two different creations stories for starters, the bible is just redaction of some original set known as the Book of J. and no, this does not come from religious worship, i am a college students who studies the testaments in class as LITERARY PIECES OF EVIDENCE, not some TRUTH or FACT.

i am now officially ashamed to say that i am an american. kind of like a few years ago when kansas tried to put intelligent design into their program. the wolf in sheep's clothing fits well. and huckabee? evangelicals actually respect and like him, the president needs to be learned, not a yale graduate who has his intellect clouded like....shrubby, but someone who allows logic and reason to guide them. the whole faith in politics thing is offensive.

much how in the democratic debate, the question, "what is your favorite bible verse?" was put forth. personally, i exploded, like it should matter if anyone had one or cared.

i cannot make my disgust clear enough.
