I wasn't able to watch all of the debate yesterday, but I did catch bits and pieces here and there.
I'm wondering if any of the republics who are against the resolution have actually read the resolution before they made their statements?
I heard more than one republic say it will cut the funding to our troops...
below is the actual resolution (PDF FILE) I don't see anything in it which indicates cutting funds.

Disapproving of the decision of the President announced on January 10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Mr. SKELTON (for himself, Mr. LANTOS, and Mr. JONES of North Carolina) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on _________
CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Disapproving of the decision of the President announced on January 10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq.
Resolved by the House of Representatives That
1. Congress and the American people will continue to support and protect the members of the United States Armed Forces who are serving or who have served bravely and honorably in Iraq; and
2. Congress disapproves of the decision of President George W. Bush announced on January 2 10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq. the other common republic theme is "acheiving victory" - nice soundbite, but none of them defined what would constitute victory.
We were told Iraq had WMDs, well none were found, so is that victory?
We were told Saddam had connections with Al-qeada, but that was proven false, so it that victory?
We were led to believe there was a connection between 9-11 and Saddam, another lie, so is that victory?
We were told we had to bring democracy to Iraq, Iraq now has a constitution and a democratically elected government - victory?
So would be victory? If we don't know why we really invaded Iraq in the first place how can we define victory?
