A bomb on my porch?!?
Good Freaking Godz!!!

The doorbell just rang. I go to the door and open it and find a small bucket full of weird things..shiny shit in a tube and stuff and a note! I look up to see a small, light colored car drive away real fast!

Gee, living in BushCo world, I hesitate..

Ok. It is an orange bucket and I see candy. Going crazy now, it ain't Halloween yet and when did the kids start giving candy to ME?

So, I pull out the paper and read it:

You have been booed!

The phantom ghost has come around,
To leave these goodies that you have found,
and since the ghost has gotten you,
Please read closely what you must do…

First, post GHOST where it can be seen
On a door or window until Halloween
Then no other ghost will visit you again,
Be sure to participate..it will make you grin!

Next, please do your part..you have only 1 day
So everyone has a chance to play
Make three treats, three ghosts, three notes.
Now that’s the gist,
And take them to families that might have been missed.

Deliver after dark when there’s barley a light.
Ring the doorbell and run!!!
Then stay out of sight!!
And last but not least, have fun and try not to be seen
And share the spirit of Halloween!!

Okay. I am not amused. And I think these little fuckers that want to start a Halloween Amway should stay away from me. Because I don't do Pyramid Schemes. I loathe that Affiliate-Mentality that has taken over so many folks who use the internet.

Now I'm sure some one will come on and tell me that this is a cute little thing to get community love going or some such shit. But I think it is extortion. I mean lookit. Rules. What I should do and WHEN I should do them. Kinda like I'm a hostage or sumpthin.

Not cute. Annoying.

1. Indeed, your very life could be in danger
You should mount guard on your porch with a taser in each hand henceforth.

17. Hehe
Well in any event enjoy the candy. In all seriousness though I have to say I'm not one for these little "pay the hillarity forward" trips either, although one time my family did get some really good cake batter out of the bargain. But that's another story for another time...

2. Ahhh, the joys of suburbia.
:)

They did that in my parent's old neighborhood. You are now obligated to keep it going. You only have to boo one house nearby. And if you don't you will henceforth be the asshole in that house over there. :)

9. Ahhhh, the joys of being the "asshole in that house over there"...
Your tools don't get borrowed, your truck is never used to move someone you hardly know, etc etc etc.

16. heheheh
that's next year for killing the boo.

I think this sounds really neat, and especially since most people don't even know their neighbors these days.
