Uncle Fred's Poll Numbers are FALLLLLLLLING..... As Predicted! LINK
http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/10/16/schneider.poll/index.html

Fred Thompson the announced Repub Candidate is finding that as people hear him speak and size him up as an announced candidate his poll numbers continue to fall.

He was far more popular as an unannounced possible candidate.

Recent poll numbers show a decline from 27% to 19%. Insiders at the Giuliani and Romney campaigns were never worried about Fred as a viable candidate --and for good reason.

With wife Jeri as his campaign manager, the falling poll numbers are likely to accelerate in the coming weeks.

1. Its only a matter of time until a political comic
has a Chalk outline of Fred and the Law and Order crew milling around considering the various other candidates as suspects.

2. Fred's poll numbers falling? That's too bad, I wanted him to be the nominee
I would have enjoyed seeing him get his ass kicked by our guy.

4. Fred never was a real threat... especially after Tony Perkins backed away from supporting him
The nickname 'Tennessee Stud' was evidently well earned and well known on Capitol Hill. Right Wing Conservative Fundamentalists were put off by his exploits, and his attempt to ingratiate himself to them by adopting positions inconsistent with positions he took earlier in his career.

Uncle Fred violated National Presidential Campaign rule # 1, 'Never put your spouse in charge of your campaign(unless your spouse was once President and is very popular today)'

8. You wouldn't believe how many people in his own state hate him
Even the most die-hard Republican's I know can't stomach him for a variety of reason. Mainly, because he hasn't done anything in his career aside from being an empty suit (and Arthur Branch, D.A.).

The biggest backers that he has now in Tennessee are big businesses that see him as Reagan-lite. I'm not kidding. The President of my company hosted a fund raiser for him not too long ago and when I asked him why he was supporting him his reply was "Look at Reagan! He was an actor!". Needless to say, that conversation continued on with a lot of laughs on my part. If it weren't so damn scary it would be laughable.

6. As expected.
The great thing about this is that some desperate rethugs actually thought stupid Fred was gonna save their sorry asses next year. Now who do they look to? Will they actually try to get Jeb to run?

Idiots.

9. Fred will be forever remembered for "Where's the food?" ....
At one of his first campaign appearances he was speaking with an organizer and Fred showed how engaged he was by uttering the classic "Where's the food?"

Of course some people would vote for him because of that --they figure a President fixated on food can do less damage after what we have experienced with the Bush Administration.

That albatross hanging around your neck is quite becoming and will become the talk of the town.
