Former corrections officer returns from Iraq to face charges

CONCORD (AP) - A former prison guard charged with sexually assaulting female inmates has returned to New Hampshire from Iraq to face charges.

Darrell Brinkley of Antrim voluntarily returned yesterday from Iraq where he was serving as a prison guard in the Naval Reserves. He was arrested at Manchester's airport.

Prosecutors say Brinkley sexually assaulted three inmates while they were at a secure psychiatric unit in the prison.
