Putin Says * Should Name A Date For Iraq Withdrawal
As being reported on MSNBC. Also mentioned that US better not attack Iraq. And if US goes ahead with missile shield in Eastern Europe Russia will take action of it's own.

How ironic that a Russian may be the one putting the skid on *. Congress needs to pay attention.

1. Russia/Putin should have taken this stand long before now.. IMO...
Russia is one of the only countries that is capable of standing up to the US/Bush Administration and it is long past due.

3. 2013 : This NYTimes article says we'll be in Iraq for about 10 yrs
Edited on Thu Oct-18-07 01:20 PM by EVDebs
no matter what, according to British intelligence from 1973, when the plan was to seize Saudi oilfields, now tweaked to Iraq's:

"The British warned in their assessment that any occupation of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi might have to last as long as 10 years. The use of force would also anger and alienate Arab countries and irritate the Soviet Union, although a military confrontation with the country would be unlikely, the document stipulated."

So the DoD has also set up 'permanent bases' that the Quakers have shown are to be there for quite awhile,

And Sen McCain, the militarily connected GOP candidate has said we'll be in Iraq for '10, 20 years, that's not so bad'

I believe Greg Palast's theory, that we're in Iraq in order to keep oil prices high for the duration of oil's peak and decline, until oil is no longer a factor in the world's economy since by 2027 it'll all be gone.

Therefore we're in Iraq until at least 2013.

7. Yeah. What's Up With That?
Could it be he's been waiting, biding his time, after more than 2 decades of 'tear down that wall' to stick it to us? And GW has presented him with such an opportunity?

9. Or Is It The Oil?
Russia has it, Iraq has it, we don't and it seems he's looking to stick it to us.

Rush Limbaugh
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_092707/content/01125106.guest.html

The rightwing/M-I-Complex requires troops in Iraq oil fields according to the old '73 plans they are wedded to. Dems need to make it clear we will pull those occupation troops out and move on to a post-petroleum world which is already here. We've squandered over 30 years of potential preparation for that new world, time to get the country aware and involved.

And put Limbaugh in his place as a laughingstock of media.
