And some of the other newspapers around the country. I am going to add the name of the representative in the state where I send the letter. ---- Today,October 18, 2007 will join the ranks of the days that will live in infamy in this country, Granted December 7, 1941 was more horrific, but this day too shows the black heart of the republicans and their leader, a leader who from investigations should not even be in the white house.
Today Michelle Bachman, you Representative to congress along with the other republicans in congress stood and cheered, when a bill to provide needed health care to the children of this country failed to pass. They stood and cheered, can you believe this. How heartless are this bunch of people who favor war, support war, the results of war on a country their leader invaded for no reason at all. Who support this president over helpless American Children. Not the children of a foreign country, but children right here in the United States. Whose leader stands before the public and gives false provisions of the bill, hoping to sway the public with the false information he gives to them about being in the bill. Doesn't that sound familiar, lies to get his way.
While billions and billions of our taxpayer money is funneled into a country mainly for the benefit of crooked corporations, while our military want for proper equipment.
Today, the republicans patted themselves on the back, as they hung on to the bloodied coat tails of this president who starts wars and doesn't know how to end them. And the gleefully accepted the path that George W. Bush took them on while refusing to care for this country's needy children.
He let the children in New Orleans drown, while he strummed on a guitar and ate cake. Did these same republicans like Bachman support him then. He slashed programs that would feed a child one good meal a day, breakfast.
What does George W. Bush have against the children of this country. Or is it just what does George W. Bush have against the POOR children of this country.
Can someone explain his the republicans constantly voting against any bill that helps the poor, while giving tax breaks and welfare to corporations. And why, does he skew the facts about this bill, giving the people the impression that children whose parents make up to $83,000 are covered, when they are not.
Just think with all the money this president has wasted in Iraq he could fund this bill easily. It all the money that was lost in Iraq and can't be accounted for, was found, this and a heck of lot of other bills could be funded.
Ask George W. Bush and Michelle Bachman and the republicans just what they have against poor and needy children of this country.
