What's your take?
Saw some clips and was gasping for air.
I was laughing like crazy. Not saying I am that bright or funny, but I can relate to everything he say.

2. He is hilarious
One of my favorite Lewis Black rants is about all the different kinds of milk. Including Soy milk??? Thats not milk, they should have called it soy juice. But would make people puke. lol.

12. He used to be unable to perform without a cigarette in one hand -
and a glass of scotch in the other! And still he'd twitch with rage.

23. Stephanie, I LOVE him
The next time you speak with him, will you please tell him I can't pass the milk aisle in the store without muttering his "moo cow f*ck milk" under my breath?

He makes me laugh till I cry,
Julie

25. I am glad he is finally having the success he deserves.

We all couldn't understand why it was taking so long. But his frustration with his career was, of course, hilarious. I don't see him around much these days - last time was probably six months ago.

13. I like what he said on the Daily Show the other day:
"People always ask me - "Hey Lewis, why are you so angry all the time?" And I say the reason I'm angry is because WHEN A NEWS STORY LIKE THIS COMES ALONG AND I STILL CANT BELIEVE THAT IT IS REAL!!!!"

8. Buy his album "Rules Of Enragement".
Hell, buy all his albums, but that one is his best. And if you like Lewis Black, check out Bill Hicks and David Cross as well.

20. My whole family loves him.
We have various DVD's of his performances. I missed his last performance in Chapel Hill because I was at a function hosted by Stephanie Miller. I hope to get to see him live soon.

22. He's hysterical. Just got & started reading "Nothing's Sacred"
I saw him on an HBO special recently (but maybe it was a rerun). He doesn't look like Al Franken but reminds me of him.
I've also seen him a little on Jon Stewarts show - but you really need to see more of him to know how funny the guy is.
By the way, the book is funny. I like the part about no liking Halloween and candy corn tasting like shit.

24. I saw him for the third time last month
and sadly it was less than a brilliant show. He was taping it live for a CD - woo hoo! so we were all told to behave. Sadly there was one drunk asshole who gave a very shrill whistle at the beginning and Lewis got pissed. So because he got a reaction he continued to whistle thru out the show. Lewis was totally rattled. Having seen him before you could tell he was off his game. His timing was off and he seemed distracted. He did really just stop the show and yell at the guy. I don't know why the whistler wasn't kicked out. If I had been sitting by him I would have let him have it myself. At least Lewis did rally for the end.

26. He's certainly one of the best in the business today.
I hew to the philosophy that "Humor is truth, only faster",
and he's got a lot more important TRUTH in his observations
than any five average comedians.
