Nancy wants us to contact "obstructionist Republicans"
She says they "will be haunted for as long as they are in office or as long as they continue to resist giving health insurance to America’s children".

So are we supposed to forget about the Dems who voted no today?

Maybe she's right this time, we should be blasting the pukes on this one. fuck them harder!
The Dems did OK this time.

I'm just wondering how long it's gonna take for Nancy to apologize for

49. We have plenty of unity in my part of the party
And we are determined to take back our party from obstructionists like Nancy. Or we can always make other choices in November 08. So if the Dems want us, they are going to have to come get us. And before you say 'good riddance' please know that here where I live we are the grassroots who canvass, phone bank and raise money for the Dems. We are the precinct chairs who organized the local party in the first place. Claire McCaskill would never have won the western part of the state (and the election) if not for the work my group did on her campaign. So yes, we do matter. And yes, we will be voting with our feet. The party is already calling and complaining that so many of us are unwilling to help start up phone banks, as we have done for so many previous elections.

So yes, we will harrass our reps. We earned our right to do so.

28. Because impeachment is the right thing to do.
Because Bush and Cheney are fucking war criminals responsible for the deaths of A MILLION PEOPLE. Because they made a mockery of the Constitution. Because they obstructed justice, because they fired U.S. Attorneys for obeying the law instead of playing ball and breaking the law. Because they cheated their way into office through massive election fraud.

Not to mention because if we continue to let those psychopathic sons of bitches run loose, we'll end up with a new dark age of fascism. No, I'm not kidding or exaggerating with this. Bush and Cheney are literally turning this country into their pet dictatorship, and if we don't stop them, the only option left will be armed insurrection. At least nobody gets literally shot with impeachment.

And don't tell me Congress is incapable of conducting an impeachment in parallel with normal business. They can and did with Clinton's impeachment. Besides, what's getting done in normal business? Next to nothing. Except for more erosions of our civil liberties and funding and endorsement of illegal wars and wanton death and destruction. All the productive legislation like S-CHIP is getting filibustered by the Congressional Repukes or vetoed by Bush. The country would be better off if Congress' regular business was ground to a halt.

37. A change in tactic: Roadblock Republicons
They need to start shouting that the Democratic Party couldn't get anything done in the 109th congress because of RubberStamp Republicons. And that can't get anything passed in the 110th congress because of Roadblock Republicons.

I know, I know there are still Demos who vote against our/the country's best interest. But they should have challengers in every primary across this nation. We progressives/liberals need to realize that we can run good candidates against some of these Republicon-lites that are in the party.

Has anyone ever done a survey to find out how many of these Demos are cross overs, from the dark side???

I know Jim Webb used to be a Republicon. How many others are there that are trying to damage the DP???
