Did you know you can buy silver on Ebay?
It's odd...most of it is going for slightly above market prices, and most of it sells.
Ebay hides the identity of the buyers, but it sure makes you wonder who is buying it all up.

3. You can also buy gold on ebay
which I did only from sellers with a high feed back when it was 400 an ounce.

8. lots of things on eBay sell for more than they are worth
It's easy to find buyers there who don't know any better.

9. What do you mean by "market prices"?
Are you referring to the "spot" price per ounce?

15. Well, in my experience, it's standard to pay more than that price to buy silver & gold.
Perhaps people who buy it by the ton are paying that,
but I certainly never have. It's always higher.

I think that "spot" price ONLY reflects the silver itself;
for people like me, there's always an extra percentage for
the middlemen added on.

I suspect that the "spot" price works for the big buyers
who are only buying it on paper. They "buy" a ton of silver,
but they never hold it in their hands. The silver is gathering
dust in some huge commodity-brokerage vault somewhere, and it
never moves. Buying and selling it just means changing names
on paperwork in the broker's files.

11. If you go buy silver bullion from a dealer you pay slightly above spot...
I generally find it for $.25 - $.40/oz over spot. When you sell it, you'll get about $.25 under spot.
Gold can be about $30 over spot.

Of course, i'm talking about stuff with no collectors value.

21. I see that your quetion
was answered below but I checked into kitco and it was cheaper on ebay for the small amts at a time I was buying. I also bought a whole lot of silver bars back then and they have really increased in price.
I only bought from people with really high feedback and I mean really high.

14. I bought both silver and gold..
several years ago. It saved a lot of money because kitco at that time was charging (for gold) spot plus $25, then it was another $25 for shipping and insurance.

I don't remember what the markup was for silver but it was a lot more at kitco than with dealers on ebay.

The gold has since doubled and the silver has tripled in price from when I got it.

19. WOW, over 71 ounces sold on Ebay just yesterday!!!! They must be trying to corner the market!!!
You are either not serious or you are horribly uninformed about the commodity markets. I have this much silver in my bedroom closet.

Then again maybe it is .....ROVE!!!!!! He has been rather quiet lately.

or....
