Iowans Protest SCHIP Veto

Congresses failed override of the veto on the expansion of S-CHIP prompted protests in Iowa City.

The group Iowa for Health Care held a vigil for the children they say President Bush and Congress abandoned. The State Children's Health Insurance Program, or S-CHIP, funds the Healthy and Well kids in Iowa, or HAWK-I, program. Protesters say the failed override is not the end.

"We're going to keep fighting for health insurance for low income families in this state and around the country."
