NONE. He spin in the current press conference is proof of it.

Ed Henry is reaming him. Good. People need to know what is going on with these lunatics!

2. So...damn...frustrating.
The Bush administration is full of cowards who can't face the enormity of their crimes against this country.

3. He'd love to do another bullshit-story-us-into-a -war
however, he has run out of money and people. They seem to be using Iran as a distraction & excuse for the troubles they have already created in Iraq. I don't think the pentagon would let him invade Iran, there are practical limits to this madness. It would end up like the Nazi invasion of Moscow.

4. He will bomb iran..NOT a ground invasion
These nuts think that if they bomb Iran, it will motivate the populus to overthrow their government. They blindly think that troops won't be necessary. This is the same PNAC garbage that got us into Iraq.

Don't kid yourself. These people are nuts.

5. For well over a year now there have
been numerous proclamations on DU that there is absolutely no doubt that bush will attack Iran, and that this will happen imminently. You join a dismally inaccurate chorus. He'd like to to, but he can't. And he won't.

6. Funny, the rest of the world and now even the media
believe he is up to something.

Blindness and a failure to keep the issue front and center is what permitted IRaq to go forward.

7. As I said, this has been going on for well over a year, and
though the reasons for concern are obvious, one of the things that is prophylactic against an attack, is that it IS being kept front and center. He will not bomb Iran. The military knows what would happen to our troops in Iraq, should he do so.

11. I pray you're correct, but your emphatic adamant verity only makes me more nervous.
"He will not bomb Iran".

I want you to be correct.

but when you are proven not correct, no matter how emphatically you state that, it is no prophylatctic at all.

18. I used to feel like you do
That is until my brother was forced out of ten years of retirement to deploy to the gulf for a year. Given his areas of expertise I have to think that they are either planning to bomb or they want Iran to really, really believe they are going to bomb.

Yes, it would be an insane thing to do, but this president isn't sane and has steadily thrown out all voices of reason from his administration and from positions of authority within the military.

I cannot, in my heart of hearts, trust this president to do the logical and rational thing.

14. Six months ago I was worried sick about it, but
now I honestly believe the window of opportunity for him to attack Iran is closing. If he bombs Iranian sites, that would undoubtedly result in many, many more U.S. troops being killed in Iran, and he just couldn't survive that.

16. But what about the 3 carrier groups and 2 sub groups?
What about the fact that friends that I have in the Army, Air Force, and Marines are deploying to the Iranian border this week?

8. It would be a gamble on almost all fronts, including Congress.
And with GOP Congressional critters already on the defensive over the surge in Iraq, a Bush administration assault on Iran would provoke significant defections among Republicans, even red state Republicans, and might grease the wheels for further investigations in collateral matters.

I don't think that's in the best interests of the administration.

So I'm hoping very hard that Bush's words are just empty saber-rattling and not an indication that we're about to attack yet another country.

9. We all hope that, but given their track record, the media and congress
must keep of the pressure as they have been. Thats all I'm saying.

10. He's a fascist dictator
There's no other way to put it at this point. Laws don't protect us, the people, nor do our "elected" representatives.

the troops, whatever it takes."

19. These are the key words .
Now it's protecting the troops not the american people .

He kept swaying back to the same determined set of words and he said what's worse , knowing exactly who is behind the IED's or where they are coming from . He also made reference to picking up a phone as another way to express who knew was not as important as where they are coming from , I miised that part because by then I was yelling at the tv .

I agree he is crazed and can't be trusted , from the anger he seemed to be holding back due to the questions asked I could almost picture him as he ran out going right to cheney to force the war on Iran further ahead .
