Do you hear what I hear?

Kelli Rudder busy stapling ears in Laurel County
By Tara Kaprowy
Staff Writer

A craze is sweeping through Laurel County, leaving many people’s ears ringing.

But this trend doesn’t involve the latest fashion get-up, video game or even boy band. Instead, it focuses on a staple gun and the desire to have a wish granted.

It’s called ear stapling.

The fad hit the area at the end of August, when a representative from StapleLean Inc., based in Mississippi, came to town. While here, she both stapled many ears and taught people how to do it.

Rudder said ear stapling purports to alleviate problems sleeping, irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux and constipation. It is also said to lessen stress, help with smoking addiction, and promote weight loss.

And it works for pets, too!

:eyes:

on edit: Damnit! Why does it have to be Kentucky? People already think that we have no electricity and marry our cousins. This isn't going to bolster impressions at all.

6. Looks like two extra holes near the inner ear..
Cold and flu bugs love to enter through the ear canal. Bad idea IMO.
