"But you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement."

Plus a little more pleasure for the defense contractor that gets to sell the Army another vehicle.

3. You point out the importance of not funding SCHIP
It was important to not fund SCHIP and your quote is the reason why.

Our children who grow up healthy, but still poor, will be inclined to join the military. From there to Iraq and certain death.

If they are not healthy, then they cannot join the military. This denies the military an important resource.

In the end, a whole generation of children are save from a certain death.

4. My point was more toward sarcasm about Bush's illegal war in Iraq than SCHIP
Congressman Stark said what most people think about bush's war. This war has gone past any moral or national security basis. This war has been hijacked by people who want power and money. When defense contractors are getting 13 BILLION dollars to build MRAPs to protected against the IED threat (which was not considered a major threat before the war in Iraq), the war will continue until the money stops flowing.

The SCHIP veto blew the pressure relief valve on little george's war. If the war is not over before the end of the year, the republicans will face an endless string of defeats in elections for the next generation.

6. I am not familiar with Representative Jindal, My congressman is Allen Boyd
Edited on Sun Oct-21-07 05:44 PM by Eagle_Eye
A lot of water has gone under the bridge since the 2006 elections. A lot of our troops have died to IED, and Navistar International, BAE Systems, and Force Protection are under contract to the tune of 5 billion dollars to produce MRAPs to counter the threat.

So what if a incumbent republican stood reelection? Congressman Jindal was not the only republican to be reelected.

Congress Jindal had better watch his back in the 2008 elections, because the Democrats are on a roll.

This just in:
So along YareweinIraq, you were tombstoned with on 34 posts. Amateur freepers should save their bandwidth on the Democratic Underground.
