Bride sues over flowers
"Newlyweds in New York have filed a 400,000 dollar lawsuit against the florist who supplied the flowers for their wedding"

"Glatt said the flowers were paid for in advance by her mother-in-law and cost more than 27,000 dollars."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071016/od_afp/lifestyleuslegalmarriage_071016163828

Here's what I don't understand: If the flowers alone cost $27,000 I'm scared to think how much the entire wedding costs are!
:scared:

If you read the entire article (which is short) it seems this bride was looking for trouble. If anyone were to sue the florist for using the wrong colors/types of flowers, wouldn't the plaintiff be the person who paid for the flowers? The bride is an attorney, so this could be an ego thing as well.

1. This woman needs to get over herself. I can see that they need to get
their money back, but they do not deserve $400,000.00. If she's in so much pain and misery because of this, it's a wonder she hasn't slit her wrists over losing a legal ruling. On second thought, I guess this flower thing is so damn important because it's just about her.

She's as bad as the judge who wants millions because his pants got lost or whatever.

Time to take Shakespeare's advice.

4. Perhaps They Need An Adjustment
Of attitude as well as the bill. Too bad Mother In Law-the actual purchaser-didn't have the benefit of her new daughter's advice before paying the bill in full in advance; if they'd had some sort of deposit with balance paid on satisfactory delivery arrangement, there might have been something to bargain with. But no.

Is this frivolous lawsuit a way to recoup the entire cost of the wedding?

Life is rough in the big city. Hers is ruined by the wrong color flowers? I hope no one got sick from the wedding dinner and the minister didn't skip a word of the ceremony (in case of divorce-is there such a thing as malpractice in that event?).
