WIKI-GOV?

Feedback editing like Wikipedia and betting on future events like the 2008 campaign winners with the betting market determining/betting on the logical outcome makes me wonder WHEN will it be applied to our political system?
Is there already a movement afoot to make our political system a truly efficient reactive and forecasting entity that works broadly for the benefit of the People in its overall outlook, and predicts and forecasts and updates instantaneously like Wikipedia and makes intelligent forecasts for the future based on input from SUCCESSFUL forecasters?
Have I missed something, or is there a future(maybe the ONLY future) for politics like this?
Or am I just an old dreamer? :freak:

1. Just a kick before I go

Another thought is since we always talk about reducing our government waste, let's get SERIOUS about this.
Do I have to bring it up again in a year or so? The trends are pointing this way anyway, toward a government that IS responsive to the needs of the people, even though the rich suck lots of dollars out of the system NOW, can they continue to get away with it in the future when we have computers and Artificial Intelligence runn9ing the show?
Too Sci-Fi for some?
Or too much like Big Brother?
One and the same?
