but Peter Hoekstra the Repug says he WAS briefed.
On CNN just now Blitzer was asking why Jane Harmon who has the security clearance and is the House Intelligence Subcommittee Chair was not briefed and the minority member Peter Hoekstra was..... Jane Harman answered..."that's just the way it works." :wow: What is that supposed to mean?
Did any other DU'ers hear this? How can it be that Harmon is not being briefed? Aren't Dems in the Majority? How is she cut out of intelligence briefings.
one party government. Meanwhile the Tweety's of this planet write op eds about lack of partisanship in DC and blame the Dems. Dems need to take the streets or we're collectively doomed.
5. Apparently Hoekstra and Ros-Lightener from Florida wrote NYT Op Ed
complaining that the Administration is "selectively leaking" intelligence about the bombing...and yet those who have been briefed are not allowed to speak about it...and they were urging that the full Congress be briefed on what they were told. Harmon said she wasn't aware of the Editorial or told they were going to write it...but she agreed that everyone in the House should be told (even though she with her Chairmanship was not).
I remember a post on DU this week saying that there WAS no Bombing on the Syrian Border and that it was Cheney who was trying to "stir the pot" by saying that the No. Koreans were helping Syria build nukes.
The story keeps changing and this whole thing with the two Repugs writing an editorial without the Dems knowing about it is very peculiar. It's as if there are games being played on all sides with the truth.
