Mom put baby's body in attic
"The body of an 11-month-old girl reported missing after her soldier father returned from a deployment in Iraq was found in the attic of her home."

Harmony's father, Ronald Earl Creech II, returned to North Carolina from a 15-month deployment in Iraq on Friday hoping to see his daughter. Harmony was born while he was overseas, police said.

This bothers me on several issues. This man is gone for 15 months defending us being in harm's way everyday, then comes home to see his daughter for the first time to find out she passes away. The child's mother will likely be having some intense psychological examinations, but I can't stop feeling for that child and her father who never saw her.

2. This is a few counties over
we have been watching the amber alerts. Really sad on all sides. What a horrible thing to come home to. There is not much else to say.

3. They haven't autopsied the baby, I see.
Maybe Mom went completely around the bend and was saving the daughter until the hubby could say goodbye to her.

There are a lot of possibilities here, none of them good, and all of them tragic. I hope they don't crucify the mom. It sounds like she's got some heavy duty psychological issues.
