WOW-CBS Is Going To Be In Trouble: "Don't They Work For Us?-Can't We Fire Them, Right Now?"
Edited on Sun Oct-21-07 01:56 PM by kpete
CBS SUNDAY MORNING-a usually sedate program had Nancy Giles speaking the truth and NO ONE STOPPED Her?!?

Giles: Politics Is Getting Politicized
Excuse Me, Elected Officials, Exactly Whom Do You Work For?

It's official: Politics have become politicized. How else can anyone explain that the will of the people is being ignored by our elected representatives?

A Washington Post poll says 67% of Americans would not approve the additional $190 billion to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A USA Today/Gallup poll shows that more than half of Americans think the war in Iraq is getting worse; and 60% of us think the war itself was a mistake.

But the war goes on, our brave troops continue to be wounded and killed, and it's costing billions more than the country can afford.

..............

I don't get it. The people have spoken, and the elected officials are ignoring us! Don't they work for us?

Can't we fire them, right now?

1. This is something that amazes me.
In our "democracy", the people elect Al Gore and bush takes over instead. The people vote to pull out of Iraq and bush sends more troops in. But impeachment is apparently permanently "off the table" so we have no recourse.

War on Terror? War on Christmas? This is a War on the American People, waged by our own government!

7. "The elected people" have tasted
power and have obviously been promised more to facilitate War On The Middle East. It couldn't have anything to do with the threat of running out of OIL in the US, could it?

The bushits include those dinos who have enabled them on their steps along the way to taking over our country. The Blood is on their hands, too.

9. were they saying that when the republicans were in power?
it seems to me the media pushes the "throw the bums out" line when the dems are the bums.
