What's not to love? DU my children and you shall hear...

100,000+ voices.

Voices of rage and reason, voices of joy, love, shared grief and triumph, passionate voices trying to shake this country by it's shoulders and wake it up for it's own good. There is sarcasm that should carry an "excessive ooze" warning label, laughter that can cause damage to any keyboard if there is coffee involved, and beauty in the works of people's whose talent I am simply glad to say I have had the privilidge to behold.

We write. We read. Lord, do we ever, on both counts. We study and catalogue. We are incurably curious about the real machinations of the world, not the imaginary ones that the good folks at the TV News companies would try to sell us nightly. I have learned more about the world in my 5 years here at the Underground than I have in the previous 40+ combined. Not only of politics, but of science, art, history, music, and hundred other subjects. The password is: Treasure Trove.

To all of you here at DU, thank you for what you do. I love you people.
