Genocide resolution

The slaughter of the Armenians by the Ottoman Turks was a terrible thing. The fact that this was done by people who are all dead and by a government that was overthrown almost a hundred years ago does not make it less terrible.

However, many governments still in power have dark periods in their past. I would suggest the present Turkish government draft a resolution condemning the United States for having enslaved large numbers of people, people to whom we are still not granting full equality.
