Why would I receive email from [e-mail]

GOP Candidates Reach Out to 'Values Voters'

There was definitely a theme to Sunday night's GOP presidential debate. Coming on the heels of the Family Research Council's "Values Voter Summit" in Washington, DC, the candidates traveled to Orlando, Florida to spar with each other and try to claim the mantle of "most conservative."

The debate began with some of the leading candidates being asked, "Are you more conservative than your rivals?" So, who is the most conservative of the bunch? It's hard to tell, but this debate did reveal a few new trends within the line-up of candidates. With only a few months to go before voting begins for the Republican nomination, voters don't have much time to make up their minds.

My ISP is AOL. Is AOL connected to the Republicans? I have no idea how else I could have received this email. Has anyone else received it?

13. If their list is set up so that individuals don't have to confirm they want to subscribe

You could have been added a number of ways:

1.) Somebody with a similar email address could have accidentally subscribed your address (if their address was "[e-mail]" and yours was "[e-mail]" they could have accidentally typed your email address into the "subscribe" box).
2.) Somebody could have signed you up, either as a "joke" or in a serious attempt to convert you politically.
3.) Your email address could have been on an email list that was sold to the GOP.

14. I have received some Democratic email

from signing up at one site, and my email had been forwarded to other Democratic websites. But this is the first time I have received email from the GOP.

I was going to unsubscribe, but then, maybe I will keep it for awhile and see what the enemy is up to. :evilgrin:
