W. is saying: "And he who doesn't know history can't repeat his destiny, or is stuck designing repetitions all over again until he can figure it all out. That is, to know destiny is a lot like history itself. It's in the past until you think about it. Alot like knowing your enemy."

4. There's... a... yellow... rose... of... Texas...
That I am going to see No other soldier knows her No soldier, only me. I miss Karl! I wish I wasn't here now! She cried so when I left her It like to broke my heart And if I ever find her We never more will part. I shoulda been more convincing on 9/11! She's the sweetest rose of color This soldier ever knew Her eyes are bright as diamonds They sparkle like the dew. I shoulda done more about Katrina! You may talk about your dearest May And sing of Rosa Lee What happened with Plame? But the Yellow Rose of Texas Beats the belles of Tennessee. Why did I invade Iraq? Oh, my heart is feeling weary And my head is hanging low I'm goin' back to Georgy To find my Uncle Joe. I hope they don't catch me! You may talk about your Beauregard And sing of Bobby Lee I wanna go home! But the Gallant Hood of Texas He raised Hell in Tennessee.

8. I was trying for a kind of "stream of consciousness" portrayal of W.
He is daydreaming. Interspersed throughout this familiar tune of Texas, which I thought he might mentally sing to himself in times of stress, are references to his nefarious deeds and his hope he never gets caught along with a wish that he could escape DC and head back to the "safety" of Crawford (or Paraguay).

9. It's good.
I jus thought it could be transcribed in a way that shows the dominant musical/lyrical structure. Imaging, W. a POET!!!!

10. W. is thinking: "Iraq is like a big, crazy puzzle we'll never understand. It's like
an enigma wrapped in bacon, like they say."

12. W. is "thinking": "Why is no one talking in my ear? How does anyone
expect me to think of anything to say?? Heck, I'm the decider and I decided they'd tell me in a earplug what I think. . . . I wonder if Karl has come back and is playing another of his har-har, unfunny jokes?"
