If I had the money, I'd move to California to
specifically Pelosi's district just for the immense satisfaction of voting her out of office. I'm just so angry with her now I could spit. * and Cheney deserve impeachment at the least.

1. California is burning. Your problem is....?
What? You don't read the news? You don't keep up?

3. There is more than one tragedy facing the country at this time. Just because
someone isn't posting about the fire, doesn't mean they don't care.

15. It's a big state you know.
The large fires are 7-9 hours drive from Pelosi's district.

No matter what they make it sound like on the news, the whole goddamn state is not on fire. Get a grip.

It'll never happen. Cindy is wasting time, when she and her supporters could be working on possible causes.

6. What I wish Cindy and here supporters would do is put up a viable
candidate, someone not so so Cindy, to run for Nancy's position. Then they could get behind him/her and maybe do some good.

14. Sheehan should have run as a Democrat.
Or supported another Democrat.

As it is, her candidacy is a joke.

19. She should have supported someone else. She's too devisive a figure
to even get any serious consideration.

20. And being told how stupid we are for living in areas that periodically catch on fire.
Even though in the 50 plus years we have lived here, I have never seen anything like the past 7 years here.

7. I think the answer is to work to get more
Progressive Dems elected so that they will have the leadership positions within the party. If DU members became more active in their local Democratic parties, it could make a lot of difference -- all the way to the national level.

8. And where do you propose that the votes come from?
The 67 Senate votes you'd need to impeach and remove Bush, Cheney, or anyone else. Do we suddenly have 67 liberal Democrats in the Senate that I'm not aware of? Or is this just a return to the fantasy that it's just that easy, but our Dem leaders choose not to do it?

16. What "fantasy" do you people keep talking about?

And, what makes you think anything in this climate is easy? Is easy what you're looking for?

It's not our job to second guess or to accomodate the Beltway b.s. It's our job to demand representation.

Geezus.

17. The fantasy that it's possible to impeach.
And all the demands in the world don't change the number of Dems versus Republicans.

18. That's not fantasy. That's what democracy requires.
And the Thuggery is just looking for some way to run away from Bush.

Too bad the Democratic leadership is counting on the next dirty election and on the people's short memory to sidestep their responsibility.

21. You really think the Repubs want to run away from Bush?
Despite tying the lowest approval rating in American presidential history, they're still in enough of a lock-step that he can veto healthcare for middle-class children and not be overturned. The Repubs, particularly in Congress, still love Bush.

22. I would relocate to California so I could
help CA keep its 55 electoral votes. 270 are needed to win the Presidency, and just over 20% of that magic number (270) can come from CA.
