4. I heard some of the crap she was spewing, but must have missed the part that ticked off Steny.
He's setting her staright. I LOVE when our Dems do this. :)

5. She was trying
to say that those that support the troops do not support all the troops because the resolution only mentions troops currently on the ground in Iraq!

She was playing a symantic game!

9. She was saying the resolution only supports the troops that are
on the ground in Iraq right now but would the troops that are being sent over there (but not there yet) get the bullets, the armour, the vehicles - she was getting weepy and starting to cry saying we weren't going to give the troops that are on their way over there the supplies they need to survive - like we are going to have them in Iraq without guns and weapons and armour - sniff, sniff.

It was horribly distorting the facts but exactly what the Republicans want to have repeated on TV as a sound bite. It sounded terrible for the troops.

7. I love the wording of this resolution. The Republics are getting a taste of their own medicine.
If they vote no, part of that resolution will mean they are voting against supporting the troops. Of course they hate this...they've been hiding behind the "supporting the troops" caveat like it was their own personal trademark.

8. I hadn't thought of that twist to the wording
Good catch.

And thanks for using the correct reference to the opposition, "republics"! :)

11. Heather deserves to have her ass kicked but good. Slandering, malicious B**CH!
She abandoned all semblance of civility and rationality and maliciously slandered the opponents of using troops as cannon fodder. Outright lying and misrepresenting!

:grr:
