Edited on Mon Oct-22-07 11:24 PM by Stephanie

It's deja vu all over again. On the night of Katrina, he attended a GOP fundraiser at the Hotel del Cornonado. In San Diego.

Bush helps raise cash for GOP governors
Mon Oct 22, 8:26 PM ET

WASHINGTON - President Bush attended a fundraiser Monday night hosted by the Republican Governors Association, which is celebrating the recent victory of Bobby Jindal, a GOP candidate just elected governor of Louisiana.

The event raised $650,000 for Republican gubernatorial candidates across the nation, according to a Republican official who declined to be named because the organization did not disclose details of the event.

With Secret Service agents in tow, Bush walked the couple of blocks to the event held at the Decatur House, a historic home at a corner of Lafayette Park across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House. The home was built in 1818 for naval hero Stephen Decatur and his wife, Susan.

So Southern California is in flames? We have a well rested and relaxed moron who will do nothing to alleviate the damage and suffering.

Prayers and best wishes to all in So Cal;Dems,Pubs, and everyone else.

14. Decatur Street in NOLA
Check out this image just after Katrina - a hired gun, a soldier of fortune.

A photo of a member working in New Orleans. Taken on September 5th 2005 at Decatur and St. Louis Sts. in the New Orleans French Quarter. Bourbon Street is behind me 2 blocks. We were working for a cellular telephone company as their linemen, tower climbers and power crews were being shot at by local idiots as they were trying to get the system up and running. We were there to convince the shooters that this was not a good idea.
Wish I had a sticker with me so I could have posted one. How can I get one for when I go back in a few weeks?
Best regards,
Warren Levicoff

Maybe he could monitor the situation, watch the news, and send whatever resources are available to help. Maybe he doesn't have to be a complete "I got mine fuck you" prick for a few hours of one freaking day.

Not in any way a response to you, dear Raksha. Just wondering what a REAL president might do.

30. This should not come as a surprise.
Seeing his inactions with Katrina and 9/11, this should not surprise anyone. Now if it was Blackwater or a major oil company's HQ or the repugnant party's HQ for that matter, he would be all over it. National Guard units would be recalled from Iraq within the hour to deal with the fires.

He reminds me of Nero. Playing the fiddle while Rome burned. (well not the fiddle but partying nonetheless). Someone should photo shop a copy of My Pet Goat into his hands.

32. typical - Steph!
This time around we are not being evacuated in my neighborhood of Tierrasanta so far as of this day - it might change tomorrow. Our firefighters are trying to make a stand in Poway. George Bush came to my neighborhood besides Scripps Ranch last time around and I did not bother to leave my house to go and see him after we were allowed to go back home.
I still look for your pictures every day Steph and I always love the comments, you all make my day!
