I just read that Stark apoligized but,
why? Something is wrong with the the Democratic party and here is where it starts, Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer who is really a republiCON who is always whispering in her ear telling her what to do. I have never understood why the party picked Pelosi and Reid as leaders of the party they are the weakest people they could have picked. Reid I believe is also there to help the Cons. It is time for new leadership! Make all of the excuses you want apoligists that is why the Dems keep on getting their asses kicked!

1. The crowd in front of Pelosi's
S.F. home should grow to march She and Dianne Feinstein are the worst to come out from "liberal" S.F.

2. It's all in the big plan for America...we have one party now and I believe
this will continue..if the dlc gets the white house, you will not be able to tell the difference from the bush administration...they will give us a few domestic wins but thats about it..this keeps the masses from revolting. We DO NOT HAVE A DEMOCRATIC PARTY anymore (with the exception of a few who will quickly be put in their place...)

3. Our Leaders Know What Is Best For Us
Haven't you learned by now that Our Leaders know what is best for us.

We all must just learn to trust Our Leaders.

After all, they are political experts.

They know how Washington works.

They listen to well-paid "advisors" who know what to do.

We must not question their great wisdom.

They know when the time is right.

And now is not the time to allow a Member of Congress to speak Truth To Power.

But just have patience.

All will be well.

Sometime.

Just wait.

And Trust Our Leaders.

:sarcasm:

7. Agree something is wrong, but Pelosi was always a deal-maker not an outfront leader.
I do note tht Rove is gone, Gonzales is gone and may be indicted, Libby got convicted. Waxman is still investigating. So things are happening. Leahy hasn't folded his tent.

I don't know why the Democrats can't make a better case for total change.

I find this Stark apology unnerving. It suggests a deal that people would vote against censure if he agreed to apologize.

8. Yes, they have done some things that we have wanted done...
like investigations but, they apologize every damn time and are afraid to speak plainly, they alway s are oh so careful not to offend the offenders. I have been watching Hoyer every since before the last election laughing it up with the CONS. Hoyer is always in there making sure that someone apologizes he also was there after the election putting his damn two cents in there for the Cons.
Watch these people everytime there is a meeting or a photo op and see who is there standing together. Look at the CONS, I have been watching Mitch McConnell for years and old evil ass Orrin Hatch these are the people who set up most of this shit with limburger,Slannity and O'lielly...

13. The G.O.P. somehow gets a pass to play by their own rules
100% of the time you see them lieing, smearing, spinning, and changing the rules to fit their tastes. Our party can't even attempt to take them to task for breaking the rules for fear of being labeled "bad" or "unamerican" for following the constitution and the will of the people. It's pathetic.

17. I believe that Stark and some of the others...
are being blackmailed or threatened in some way. There is no way that he would come out and apologize the way that he did with out some type of coercion, he seemed to be on the verge of tears because he had to apologize.

9. Democrats need to "grow a pair"
Stand up to the republican noise machine. Unfortunately it seems the only thing they will fight for is their earmarks/pork.

10. Bowed in to pressure from our "leaders" most likely
We finally have a representative in our party stand up and say exactly what should be said about our president, and he gets chastised for it. It's a sad and frustrating day for me mainly because his words resonated with me and many others on just how little our government cares about our well-being and that of our soldiers.

Reid and Pelosi are disgraces to our party. They have done absolutely nothing of any substance (and save me the rhetoric about minimum wage - cost of living increases offset any gains in that regard) to address the fundamental issues that face our country today. If anything they have capitulated to the G.O.P. at each and every opportunity in order to play nice and appease their mutual corporate masters. Today, I'm ashamed of my party and my country.

11. Agree completely.
The Dem leadership has made pre-emptive capitulation and art form. They are nothing more than the Democratic arm of the GOP.

12. Thanks, I'm normally all for decorum and working together to solve problems
But I'm far past that now. The G.O.P. play by their own rules and always have. They answer to no one but corporate interests, at the expense of the country, our people, and the environment. The Democratic party is ceasing to be a party in any way shape or form as far as I'm concerned. They see that we are in a dire situation at home and abroad, yet they choose to play politics and tip toe around issues so that they can lessen any perceived negative impact. It's increasingly looking like 2006 is a case of "meet your new masters, same as your old masters just with a different name".

I'm really disgusted today. Most people here that know me will be shocked that I'm feeling this way as I'm usually a lot more upbeat about these issues, choosing to see the light at the end of tunnel rather than the bleak and dreary. I'm losing faith fast.

16. What this congress has done is appalling
censor people for using their right of free speech. This is how they spend their time? THIS is an affective way to fascism. Stiffling other's right to dissent.

Stark was dixi-chicked.
