3. Well at least one direction isn't covered by smoke
the nighttime shots with the fires as bright spots on a dark background showed the progression of the fires more.
But I thought even the daylight shots had something to offer the viewer.

4. I've been to the summit of Lyons Peak
There's an abandoned fire watch tower up there. The view is amazing on a clear day.

6. it updates every two minutes
basically you can see how its progressed since yesterday.
Between last night and today, you can see the fire spreading.
Doesn't look like a lot of progress knocking the fire down.
But I think that the resources are probably focused on the more populated areas right now.

10. Thanks I bookmarked the site for leisurely inspection
I didn't see any obvious choice for looking at where the fires are...did you locate a specific webcam?

11. Damn! Is it down?
Last checked about 1.5 hours ago and all you could see was smoke. In one of the 4 images you can see flames very close by coming up around the large rocks at the base of where the cam was. Now the link has gone dead. :(
