Missile shield is 'urgent' - Bush

US President George W Bush has said there is a "real and urgent" need for a missile defence system in Europe.

Mr Bush said the missile threat was from the Middle East, not Russia, which strongly opposes sites for the shield in Poland and the Czech Republic.

He warned that Iran could have a ballistic missile capable of reaching Europe or the US by 2015.

1. several big lies, here. ONE: there is no and can be no effective "shield"

until we invent a scifi actual force bubble, all so-called "shields" are just shooting bullets at bullets. None of them are completely effective.
TWO: that Iran is more of a threat NOW for something they haven't even done nor plan to do, then N. Korea, Pakistan and India, all of whom ALREADY possess nuclear weapons and are vulnerable to radical extremists taking over their govts: Pakistan is almost talibanized now.

THREE: that perceived threats are justifications for preemptive actions.

2. Do we know what companies are going to make money off building this missile shield?

If they do, from where will they get enough money to pay for a few more 'staged' teevee ads in the coming year?
