The Bushes are just numb, indifferent, detached, etc.

3. So why would Pete Stark bother his beautiful mind with such baseless accusations?

2. bush intentionally lied us into a war so he could be a war president
I fail to see anything wrong with what Mr Stark said. I would have to be a fucking limbaugh trained monkey to think that he said something untoward. bush is a fucking monster, a drunk, a military deserter, a corporate criminal, a liar, a war criminal. And we are supposed to be nice to him?

6. Stark didn't have to apologize for the whole statement
Why did he back off his claims about how misguided this administration is, how screwed up its priorities are?

9. Bush will never apologize
Maybe some day the GOP will apologize for him, if people like John Dean retake control.

11. Texas's Commuter-in-Chief
Callous indifference to human suffering may also set Bush apart. He may be the only government official to mock a condemned person's plea for mercy, then lie about it afterward, claiming humane feelings he never felt." (Prejean was alluding to George Bush's election-year memoir – A Charge to Keep – in which he wrote that Tucker's impending execution "felt like a huge piece of concrete...crushing me.") Preajan described her response when she was told on Larry King of Bush's final press release before Tucker's execution in which he stated, "May God bless Karla Faye Tucker…." Prejean wrote, "Inside my soul I raged at Bush's hypocrisy, but the broadcast was live and global…. I took a quick breath, said a fierce prayer, looked into the camera, and said, ‘It's interesting to see that Governor Bush is now invoking God, asking God to bless Karla Faye Tucker, when he certainly didn't use the power in his own hands to bless her. He just had her killed.'"

12. Not amused by the suffering of others?

“George tells Carlson that he watched the Larry King interview with Tucker while she was on death row. Bush says, ‘(King) asked her real difficult questions like, “What would you say to Governor Bush?”’ ‘What was her answer?" Carlson asks. Bush ‘whimpers, his lips pursed in mock desperation....Please...don't kill me,’ Bush says, pretending to be Karla Baye Tucker. ‘I must (have) looked shocked,’ Carlson writes, ‘ridiculing the pleas of a condemned prisoner who has since been executed seems odd and cruel, even for someone as militantly anticrime as Bush--because he immediately stops smirking.’

Ridiculing a condemned prisoner isn't indifference; it's a twisted sociopath's idea of amusement.

13. I guess we can say he's "grown"
from the amusement as a child to the indifference as a man-child.

He's out to lunch as they say.

He was an adult sociopath then, an adult sociopath now, smiling and laughing whenever he talks about war.
