Anybody catch the Iranian Ambassador to the U.N. on Charlie Rose last night?

He said adamantly that those munitions that were 'discovered' in Iraq were NOT manufactured in Iran and that if you look closely at the ones that Bushco is claiming to have found as proof you will see that the dates stamped on them are written day/month/year which is NOT the order of dating that Iran and much of the world uses. He said that alone should tell knowledgeable people that those munitions are a fabrication. And a poor one at that.

Granted, Iran might have created that date anomaly just in case the munitions were recovered. But Bushco has set the precedent for deceit and evidence tampering, so even if Iran were to have done that, Bush made himself and this country vulnerable and even LESS deserving of trust than the Iranians he has demonized.

The man was very intelligent and kept making the point that Iran was friendly to the current Iraq government and would not want to harm it. He also pointed out the fact that Iran is next door and can't pull out and go home. He was very believable when he said they wanted a stable Iraq.

He laid out a much stronger explanation for why it is NOT in Iran's interest to destabilize the area than Bushco has made for why Iran would be interfering in Iraq. In fact, Bushco has many more reasons to keep that country in chaos than Iran does.
