Arnold on Nightline says the people of California are happy and
Edited on Tue Oct-23-07 11:17 PM by Feeney2
your yoga classes haven't been disrupted, in response to Claire Shipman asking if all that could be done has been. Just look around. Everyone is smiling says the governor. So. Are you all happy in California?

1. This is another assault on America. More disaster capitalism by the ones who profit at everyone
elses expense, including the animals.

The people in and around San Diego are not happy.

What a prick to say to California that your yoga classes haven't been interrupted.

5. I'm all happy that the wind shifted and our local fire,
which was at one point 2 and 1/2 miles from my house, turned and went south and east of my house. Of course, I feel sorry and concerned for the people who live in the canyon where the fire went, so I guess I'm not as happy as Arnie seems to think. And I'm pretty worried about the embers igniting again. So what is it that he thinks we are happy about?

12. Read this in Arnies voice:
Edited on Wed Oct-24-07 02:11 AM by rAVES
"I think that the most we need now is the weather to change, because we have those really strong winds that throw the flames and send the flames to other areas and then it starts another fire and another fire,"

I don't like making light of this awful tragedy.. but that cracked me up.

laughter is good for the soul anywho....

I got that here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7058809.stm btw.

13. the asshole was comparing it to Katrina, in which case it is true
the way he said it didn't come off well though. i wish he would have just shut up and spoke about the services being offered and that we DO NEED GOVT. the victims of Katrina were just completely abandoned.

but the conditions for California fire victims are far better than were for Katrina victims.
