I personally doubt that many of those craven cowards would stand up and defend the criminality in a real impeachment trial ... and if they did, then some time in the future sane people could go dig up their graves and feed their bones to the hogs.

They're COWARDS. That's why a "straw poll" is so pessimistic - because they're AFRAID to be among the first to show 'disloyalty' and be subject to attack. HOWEVER, there's an even greater liklihood that once the dam broke, they'd be knocking each other down to be the next one to show how they "valued America more than partisan loyalty."

Doing the right thing is a matter of duty and integrity - and the outcome is for the future to judge.
