Over 300,000 acres have burned in San Diego County and Los Angeles area wildland fires

An estimated 513,000 San Diego County residents are under mandatory evacuation orders as of 11 a.m. today, according to county officials.

Another 12,000 residents have been asked to voluntarily evacuate.

Fire name: Ranch Incident - CA-LAC/ANF- Ranch IC

Location: West of Interstate 5 Templeton area
Current size: 54,518 acres 10 % contained
Evacuations: Evacuations in communities of Halsey, Oak Canyon, Val Verde, and Piru Evacuation Center at Fillmore Veterans Memorial Bldg., 511 Second St., Fillmore. Large Animal Evacuations to Ventura County Fairgrounds, Small animal evacuations to Camarillo Animal Shelter.
Notes:Incident Base at Castaic Park - I-5 to Lake Hughes Road, (California Travel Guide 89 K2)
multiple structures lost, The fire may burn across Hwy 126.
FROM THE 209 - Fire Behavior:
Extremely hellacious & erratic fire behavior.
