Or read the papers. And on Monday when things began to spiral out of control, he was busy attending a fundraiser. They let him cross the street by himself, too! So it was a big day.

Suddenly they're letting us see how the inner sanctum works. See, they're transparent!
In the second and third photos both Bush and Cheney look like they're trying desperately to read the cheat sheet so they can talk like they know anything about the fires.
They're all sitting around 'conferencing' with all the Bush disaster appointees. I wonder who's giving the orders in this highly unstable and unpredictable fast moving disaster. I don't think all the actors in these photo ops are, and that includes the dunces in the videos.

I guess as a Californian I prefer to have them watch this from the comfort of their inpenetrable tower rather than have Idiot in Chief and the First Dick come to the state. Thank goodness for small favors.
