GREAT JOB Sen. Biden! Did you see the clip on Hardball?
Joe was speaking somewhere and apparently he'd been denied access to the Dover military base in Del. He said "How DARE this President deny me access to a military base? I'm obn the Armed Forces Committee and a United States Senator!" I'll have to check to see where he was speaking. I'd love to hear the whole speech!

1. Yeah, I caught it. It was cool. Joe was denied access
because of the COFFINS.

4. WTF?
Because of the coffins? :wtf:

Do they have more than they admit to and won't let folks in who can count and call them on it?

Biden needs to remove himself from the race and get with the house members to impeach the MOFO-n-chief.

Abuse of office is just one of the many reasons to impeach him and remove him from office.

We can have him tried for war crimes after we get out of Iraq

8. Oh you know something - you might be right about the coffins. Was that
mentioned in the Hardball piece do you know? I've heard that's where the bodies of our troops enter the United States.

God I hate this administration. Evil.

10. Dover Air Base
in Delaware is where the bodies of our fallen troops are flown and prepared for release to their families. I believe this happened when the Bush admnistration decided to keep the coffins from the public eyes.

Joe is not afraid to take on Bush and Cheny.

anyone if he feels an injustice is taking place.

Iraq.

Biden is not afraid to mince words.

And I do like his snark. I can't help hoping that he'll work hard at getting exposure in those states holding the early primaries & come out on top. (If Al doesn't run.)

2. He said something like that a year or 2 ago too. Not sure what the venue was today.
Sure seems like he should have the right to go onto a base in his own state...

7. I remember that also. Sort of 'went away' after the first outrage and reporting.
Glad he is bringing it back up and he should do so during a broadcast debate for more exposure.

I am a life long Dem, I will always be a Dem. No question about that. Taking a stand is great, but backing down after criticism, SUCKS! Take a stand or don't. Either way, be prepared to back it up!

32. I know, and he's trying for $500,000 by mid Nov. I did send him a little
money, but I just don't have much to spare! My hubby was taken to the ER last Friday, and because of our wonderful healtcare system, I'm going to owe well over $1,000 in our 20% copay, and I don't know how much more than that. He's OK, thank God, but these vultures scrounge for every last penny. I will send Joe something, but I doubt it can be more than $10. I only wish I could do more!!!!

33. I'm so glad to hear your husband is okay - it must have been such a frightening
experience for you.

Nobody's contributions could be more meager and embarrassing than mine, but I'm sure they appreciate every single dollar. So if you can send a few bucks that's great - if you can't right now, don't feel bad. You're here supporting him, and that means a lot to the rest of us Bidenites!

Take care.

38. Iowa surprise, that's what I'm counting on.
Why does the media severely critique Biden? Does Biden worry the media and repubs who pay their checks that if he had more air time he could even capture a few conservative votes. The best the media can do at this point is try to make him look racially biased. There is no way I could support him if that was anywhere near true. No way does he come off as being biased. Just the opposite, he recognizes a problem with certain segments of our society and that goes beyond racial inequities.

That is why DU is a life saver. Our local media is trash in and trash out. Fox fans everywhere. Blows the mind. It has occurred to me that if Biden got any kind of coverage in this State, Okla., that there are some open minded people that would appreciate what he stands for. They are disgusted with bush but are die hard repubs. The choice for repubs this years isn't so stellar, ha
