Are you getting as angry, too?
The Bush Admin has hardly recognized global warming and brushes off Kyoto and Env Protection. They are more inclined to broadening the war than to ending it. Billions per day are being stolen by "who knows whom" and shady contractors. No taxes are raised to quell the historical indebtedness, and the fallout is sure to make life untenable for the next generation. New Orleans and the Gulf Coast was thrown some large bundles of cash to temper the masses of displaced residents, but little or no help to truly rebuild the infrastructure and protect a recurrence, much less plan for an actual resettlement. The West Coast is engulfed in fires, some of which will still be flaming until Thanksgiving. Billions will be required to recover from the damages of this environmental tragedy. Bush is going out for photo-ops with the Governator tomorrow. As soon as he leaves, Kali-fornia will be far from the minds of all but the profiteers who plan to play their Crony Card to land clean-up contracts. It's all so outrageously repetitive and phony. Our taxes don't maintain a civil society and support the needs of our citizens anymore. They are used to rain fire and death in a ruthless theft of mideast oil. We are borrowing on the future to protect the fossil fuels that are hastening the destruction of our environment. We see it happening and the anger needs to turn to rage. Will it take a global, super catastrophe to alter the civilization's outlook on war and peace? This is madness in an extreme. Rome is burning again.

7. Like I wasn't depressed an consumed with this stuff enough, already.
Things are really just so bad, and I can only see them getting much worse in both the short and long term. I assume we will have a dem prez and a larger dem majority in about 15 months, but like Hilary has pointed out: we don't even know how bad things have really been screwed. And that's just the political part. The ecology? fugetaboutit. Ecology doesn't even seem like a usable word for the state we're in already, let alone when the climate change starts hitting high gear in the near future. But the good news, the important thing: haliburton stock keeps going up, so it's all been worth it.

8. need chocolate and a soap opera.
While supplies still last.

Then I'll be ready for battle again in the morning.

Am I mad? I'm so mad that I won't let apathy follow.

I just had a short rant on another thread regarding discussing relocation issues and whether people are ready or not to discuss this.

In short, I don't care if they are ready or not anymore. Climate refugee time is here. Sit these people down...who'd rather live in an unrealistic state of mind and bring their asses back down to earth. We can tell them, if they don't return to earth now, they might not have another chance to.

Shit.

maybe its my youth, maybe its my idealism, but i refuse, FUCKING REFUSE, to let this country go down without a fight. there is no way i am going to keel over and die or surrender. i am not just angry, i am livid, this is going to stop. or i am going to try and stop it until i can fight no more.

10. Their goal was to destroy Government
With war, indebtedness. They're unafraid of Armageddon and see no reason to change their ways. Mad that we were screaming unheeded admonitions back in 1999 that Bush would be a disaster. Past mad and ready to dig a hole and hide as the Freeptards will never change and men will always vote Republican. Mad as in insane is now closer.
