3. Dianne Feinstein (D, CA) and Bob Filner (D, CA-51) were also on Air Force One with him.
I assume they're also going on the helicopter with him and Schwarzenegger but I couldn't tell for sure if they got on the helicopter.

2. Awe, MCAS Miramar. I remember that base quite fondly.

They have an excellent golf course for beginners. Nice and flat. When I first took up the sport in the late 1980s I used to play all the time at Miramar. Now I feel that I can barely afford to "hit balls" at the driving range.

IMO, Marine Corps Air Base Miramar: A beautifully kept Air Base with one excellent golf course. :-)

Anything but talk about Dear Leader, huh?

5. It was originally a Marine Corps base, then it was Naval Air Station Miramar for 50 years, then
in 1997 when El Toro closed, the Navy moved out and the Marines moved back in. My Mom was stationed there at Camp Elliot when she was in the USMC from 1943-1945. There are still a few buildings left from Camp Elliott. The best thing about Miramar is that East Miramar is still a wide open space and we need all the open space we can possibly get. Most of East Miramar did burn in the Cedar Fire in 2003, but has recovered.

7. We were there 2 weekends ago for the air show - that place is enormous
We had to walk for what seemed like several miles from where we parked on the base to get to the air show.
