I just overheard one of my coworkers talking to a colleague about the fires and the media's comparisons of the current fires to Katrina.

The woman said she was actually grinding her teeth listening to the news and that she gets goosebumps just talking about it because THERE IS NO COMPARISON. The colleague agreed saying, "they" (fire victims) had time to get out.

The first woman said that she kept hearing EVERY news station make the same comparison and they did it over and over and over...as though repetition would make it true.

I was elated to hear the conversation and piped in to say that I thought it was just me who thought that way.
