But as I wrote elsewhere, until they achieve 30,000,000 on the watch list, they aren't really trying. When the USSR had a complex internal spy system going, their standard line was the USA was infiltrating them and getting ready to attack them on their land. So, you had to watch everyone around you.

by some measures, the USSR had one person watching 10. and every ten watchers were watched separately by another watcher, and so forth.

Today, the USA, using modern technology can cut back on the numbers needed to run a totalitarian society. and with the help of today's congress, they are doing quite well in implementing their plan.

within 24 hours of your flight. Won't be able to if you're on the list. That's what I heard anyways.

8. Good question -- I wish I knew too

I haven't flown since 9/11 and I'm concerned because the ground rules keep changing. I've heard now that if you've had any kind of credit problems or are in debt, they'll view you as a risk because you could be "bought off" by the terra-ists ... I haven't had to fly in the past 8 years and I'm thankful for that, but I'd like to know before I need to book a flight due to a family death or emergency and then get a big surprise at the airport.

you could type your name in and would tell you if you were on it. My name is on it, but I don't know if they just go by the name. It is a name like Jane Doe and I suppose there are a lot.
