WA-Gov: Grudge Rematch! Sore loserman Dino Rossi gears up to lose again to Christine Gregoire
Read the latest from Kos's mcjoan and check your personal stock of ...
Remember 2004's closest race? The one that took the longest to decide? The one that got Karl Rove so worked up that Alberto Gonzales ended up firing the U.S. Attorney who wouldn't get involved in the recount fight? Well, sore loser and Rove poster boy Dino Rossi is back to challenge incumbent Christine Gregoire.

CQ puts this race in the no clear favorite category on the basis of how close it was in 2004 — 179 votes. I think that's wrong, on a number of bases. Rossi was very much a stealth candidate in 2004, the Washington press didn't dig into just how extreme this seemingly affable guy was. And an overly complacent Democratic party in Washington state didn't do a whole lot to help in the effort.
Read the rest at Daily Kos. We saw what a sore loserman Dino the Ween-o was the first go-round; I can't wait for the sequel!

1. Recount mess will not happen again in the Evergreen State
Washington State: King County Elections has enacted sweeping reforms in the last few years, including dismissing most employees who worked the 2004 election. The county is also going to all vote-by-mail; which I personally like, but I worry will unequally disenfranchise those of lower economic means and/or no fixed address. Of course, the destitute, the transient and the homeless regularly get the shaft, so why should the vote be any different?

The elections board, like Florida after 2000 - and, I pray, Ohio in 2008 - will be hyper-vigilant to voter fraud. Let's hope they're as vigilant against efforts to suppress the vote.

3. I hate that "Sore-Loserman" thing since the repukes used it against Gore in '00
when he clearly had won.

4. Rossi is a Bush Republican in a blue state.
On top of that I think many remember how it was "time to move on" from a "sound" election when he was fifty votes ahead and suddenly outraged at "massive vote fraud" when he was a hundred behind. Normally I don't like name calling so I'll refrain from calling him a total weasel.

5. Dino
Should be loads of fun to watch this next grudge match
I did some "Dino blogging" yesterday while chasing, feeding and entertaining my two year old. Made for some real fun semi-coherent ranting and reminiscing about Dino and Spokane. Not unlike another Dino run at the Govs office.
Hey Spokane! :hi:

6. Yeah, he's ranting and raving already about how we need a
new direction in Olympia, blah blah blah.

Dino is as annoying as our favorite initiative guy, Tim Eyeman.

Bring it on, Dino. This time, I think you will loose by a very clear margin.
