Environmentally savvy DUers, do you have a link for a Freeper lady I know?
I don't really understand this "conservative" idea of doing nothing/ignoring global warming. They seem to think that nothing anybody could do about it would do any good. Is there a reliable source that quantifies the obvious (that cutting GHGs & CO2 X amount would result in X result)

It seems to me totally obvious/common sense that the benefits of reducing these polutants would correspond with the amount of reduction?? But she seems to think that cutting them would have no effect...natch she has no source for this ".02%" figure but does anybody have a reliable source to counterpoint?

"Exactly how much would cutting gas emissions do to help prevent greenhouse gases? Would it even be enough to make a dent because I've heard and read that it wouldn't. And, how would we go about reducing emissions? More taxes on gas? Would that really reduce people's driving habits? Or putting more emissions equipment on cars to jack up the price so the average joe has to settle for used cars without the emissions stuff? I'm just wondering how this would all help in the long run. And if, as I've read, reducing our emissions would result in only a .02% reduction in greenhouse gases, does that really make that much difference? Overall?"

2. Any time you spend debating a freeper on global warming is wasted
Comprehending global warming will not come from a single link, particularly when considering the impact of reduced emissions.

Gore's movie did a reasonable job of presenting this complex subject at a level digestable by those not well versed on the science.

Your friend will not likely watch Inconvenient truth, so she is not likely to ever educate herself.
