That "contract" was administered by the State Department-yet the contract and the $1.2bn can't be accounted for by the Inspector General and audit professionals responsible for keeping track of our $.

They gave up trying to do their job.

The House Oversight Committee hearing yesterday with Dr. Condoleezza Rice literally left her momentarily speechless when asked about where the DynCorp "contract" documents were-not to mention the $1,200,000,000.00 for Iraq's law enforcement.

Below are a couple of DynCorp background links. Let's see if DU can help her figure out what has happened to that $1,200,000,000.00.

I hope it didn't get mixed up with DynPort Vaccine LLC or something. I'm sure there's an answer, maybe we can help find where it is, as responsible citizens.

2. It's almost like a crime was committed when $$$ can't be accounted for
Edited on Fri Oct-26-07 03:24 PM by bobthedrummer
especially $$$ for law enforcement in any civilized democracy.

Heck, it's a crime to even suggest any impropriety with the people's $ without evidence.

3. That is only $40 per capita for the US population. Come now, that's small change for such a winning
Long Con! That's only 13 gallons of gasoline per capita. Small price to pay not to hate America. Small price to pay for having Freedom on the March.

5. That's chump change compared to DynCorp's recent $4bn+ Army contract for translators
which they were awarded over competitor L-3 (DynCorp partnered with Macneil to get it)...

Real busy business indeed...

6. Since DynCorp employs police officers and other law enforcement professionals
Edited on Fri Oct-26-07 04:28 PM by bobthedrummer
to do training, one would think that some of them have fairly accurate ideas as to what happened to the $1,200,000,000.00 since their careers often include recovering missing $ and valuables-and this is our money.

The elephant in this whole thing about political corruption, law enforcement and unaccounted for $ is the BFEE Justice Department-which Dr. Rice stated is investigating for the State Dept.

Heck, last I heard the Criminal Division's Alice S. Fisher was still there-she's also part of the National Procurement Fraud Task Force (but her former Criminal Division colleague Paul McNulty has "retired") she investigated Jack Abramoff, maybe she is already developing some leads!

10. "disaster capitalism" at work ...

See excerpt from Naomi Klein's book, "The Shock Doctrine" -- she discusses the corporate profiteering that's going on in Iraq (and Russia, and New Orleans).

11. Has anyone complied a list showing ALL the missing money (the 8 billion, this,
etc.) and totaled it up? A staggering sum of "misplaced" money. It needs to be shown to the American people.

13. Some Iraq "Reconstruction" corruption links

It's not just the huge DynCorp BFEE networks (DynCorp is evil)- it's everywhere, and Americans have been killed (I'd include Col. Westhusing's "suicide") while investigating

A couple of articles from last year document the pervasive nature of corruption
