1. This quote from Al Gore, standing alone, is impressive (in light of his experiences)
Edited on Fri Oct-26-07 09:38 PM by Land Shark
“No matter how hard the loss, defeat might serve as well as victory to shake the soul and let the glory out.” --Al Gore

on edit: Not saying he's referring to the election of 2000, which he won, in popular vote of course AND in electoral college if ALL the votes had been counted (including the nonspoiled "spoiled" ballots, especially).

Think of it this way, after all the shenanigans we can SEE, they still need secret vote counts since 2000 on all the new electronic invisible counters to win the election. Imagine that, they STILL have to operate in secrecy. Amazing.

3. I'm sure they'd be great, as long as you can guarantee the office won't "make" him 2 "careful"

oh heck, on edit, if he reads a few sentences here and there from "Assault on REason" he's already got a great collection of quotes to deliver verbally!!! :)

4. I agree... However
When Gore was one of them I didn't trust him either. I actually met him(I was doing the audio at a speech he gave) after the election in 2000 and we talked about it for a minute. I told him I had voted for Nader and told him why. He was man enough to admit that I right to vote my conscience and he was wrong to let others "craft his image" for him. I gained a bit more respect for him after that and that respect has grown over the last few years. I don't blame him for not wanting to go back to Washington.

5. That is a FANTASTIC photo of The Man...
I don't trust most of 'em either. I begin to fear, with the likely win for us Dems in '08, that none of 'em seem too interested in restoring the rights we have surrendered in our "war on terrorism"...power corrupts.

8. Yes. Those with negative focus that think superficial looks "make" a President care. Shockingly so.

11. Wow = Albert is one POWERFUL dude.
6 years ago every progressive I knew was boiling Al in oil and drop kicking him off the ship. The Dem base hated his fucking guts. -- All the man had to do was lay low for awhile, re-emerge talking environmentalism (which he did then too) -- and now next to the blankety blanks in the WH and their DLC enablers - Albert is now the progressive's second coming.

Excepting more grays and poundage Albert has not really changed.

12. so his views on NAFTA have not changed?
that is true and one thing that i am hesitant about, except for environmentalism (which is the greatest threat to this world right now) we dont know anything about his forign policy, his domestic policy, trade, his plan on reviving the american economy before we become a third world country, even though he is a great guy i am hesitant for somoene who has such a huge following on only one issue.
