Be Wary of and do not vote for People and representatives who call for peace
it is no longer the amerikan way.

They are not electable, so don't even look their way. Look! over there! a shiny object!

That is what Amerikan elections have become.

Am I wrong?

1. No, because DUH-bya's not bright at ALL, and he
still lives at 1600 PA Ave.

When he isn't clearing Crawdad brush, that is.

3. That's an interesting question
for I'm not aware of any. Maybe somebody out there knows the answer to that one.
Maybe it's time for a first.

4. To name a few:
Woodrow Wilson - 1916
Dwight D. Eisenhower - 1952
Lydon B. Johnson - 1964 (tho he betrayed those peace promises)
Jimmy Carter - 1976

5. Thanks
I'm not sure what you're referring to with Carter. Maybe because I've had so little sleep, but I can't think of the war he called for an end to

8. Carter used
many strong peace themes during his campaign. He promised a new foreign policy, based on peace and human rights. In addition, he called for the scuttling of the B-1 bomber, a comprehensive nuclear test ban, and for movement toward the elimination of all nuclear weapons. The executive director of SANE, America’s largest peace group, resigned to work in Carter’s campaign.

On his first day in office, he fulfilled a campaign promise by issuing an Executive Order declaring unconditional amnesty for Vietnam-era war resisters and pacifists.

6. If you're talking about the presidency, no you're not wrong
If you're comment is more generalized and extends to the Senate and House, yes, you're wrong that those who call for peace can't be elected.

9. You are dead wrong.
The executive branch will be headed by someone from the party interested in peace in January, 2009. The two houses of the legislative branch have already been handed over to that party. And the court system will soon reflect the constitution as well.

10. to be honest i don't think peace has been "the amerikan way" for
quite some time.

That doesn't mean that we should not pursue peace.

America is not doing very well. It is way past time for a change for the better.

Screw the thinking that 'it won't work'-

That is self fulfilling -

If we are going to keep doing what is expected, and continue with the 'more of the same' mentality, we will surely get what we shoot for.
