Our family has become seriously fractured over politics in the past seven or eight years. There are cousins and an aunt that I no longer communicate with. Republicans are often hate filled, intolerant, and lacking in empathy. As Howard Dean once said on NPR. "I hate Republicans and everything they stand for." Yep, that just about says it for me.

in the world. However, I have come to despise what the Republicans have done
to this country (and to others) and, therefore, I have no respect for those people who still, incredibly,
support them. They are ignorant and bigoted, for starters, and do not deserve my respect.

I used to have a conciliatory approach to politics, but no more. It's gone so far beyond that,
it's almost hard to remember back that far when there was even the possibility of civility.
All I want is for them to be thrown in jail and treated like the criminals they are.
