Rally draws war-wearyBy Marie Szaniszlo

When Michael Blake joined the military at the age of 18 in July 2001, he knew he was joining the “good-guy Army.”
But as the months passed after he was deployed to Iraq two years later, he said, anti-American sentiment there grew.
Most of the homes he and his unit raided turned out to belong to innocent people, Blake, 24, said. And then one day, his unit opened fire on a suspicious van, killing a 14-year-old boy inside.
“One of my friends can’t even be around kids anymore,” he said yesterday, his desert fatigues standing out among the garb worn by thousands of anti-war protesters who gathered on the Common. “You don’t send soldiers who are trained to kill to rebuild a country. We’re not police. We’re soldiers.”
Despite the rain, the gathering was perhaps the largest demonstration against the war in New England to date, drawing people from throughout the region.
“The big question in Iraq is who’s going to be the last person to die for a failed policy and an illegal war,” said Suren Moodliar of the Boston-based Stop the Wars Coalition.

What Bollocks!
Never have I seen such a scroungy bunch of unwashed losers, some even pretending to be soldiers, than at yesterday's rally. I'm not saying Americans dont have the right to express their displeasure with this very screwed up war, but why do they always have to be dirty, gray-haired misfits with foul smelling, ill fitting clothing and bad teeth to boot? You may note that I say the handful of people wearing military clothing are pretenders, and I stand by that because no one who served with any distinction would look like the losers stumbling down the road yesterday. A truly sad showing and sad expression of Americans' expressing their rights. I guess what I'm saying is if you invested as much time in your hygeine as well as how you carry yourself maybe people would listen to what you were shrieking into your megaphone. JMHO
For what it's worth dickhead, I took a shower and brushed my teeth yesterday.
