Bush's FEMA official who quit over the fake news conference has a new job already
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/10/27/fema-official-involved-in-fake-press-conference-resigns/

FEMA official involved in fake press conference resigns.On Tuesday, while “wildfires raged” in California, FEMA staged a live press conference at which agency staffers posed as journalists and asked softball questions. One of those staffers, Director of External Affairs John “Pat” Philbin, has now resigned. He has instead landed an “amazing opportunity” to head public affairs at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. October 27, 2007

DU Post - Firm Awarded Defense Contract Worth $790M After Hiring Ex-* Official

William Winkenwerder Jr., assistant secretary of Defense for health affairs from 2001 until April, joined Logistics Health Inc. as a director and consultant in June. The firm beat out two other bidders with proposals that ranged from $80 million to $100 million less, records show. Under the new contract, Logistics Health will provide immunizations and physical and dental exams for reservists and National Guard members.

This is the same William Winkenwerder Jr. of the recent Walter Reed medical care scandal.

11. Hard to "resign in shame" when you have no shame
And doesn't leaving a government job in disgrace usually mean you're never hired by the government again?

13. TRANSLATION: His "resignation" had nothing to do with that fake press conference.
This new job would have been in the works for quite some time;
it had probably been confirmed before the phony press conference.

15. WOW!! Isn't he LUCKY!!

:eyes: :eyes:

He screwed up one gummint PR gig and he gets to try his luck again on another one. If the BushCo regime was run like a real business he would be blacklisted and unemployed for months or years. The corrupt BushCo Good ol' Boys Club is so transparent it isn't even funny any more.
